Amelia and her seven siblings were pulled from a shelter in Kentucky by Safe Hands Rescue when they were just 7 weeks old. She was adopted early on but ended up being returned a few months later after her family experienced major health issues. She ended up back at the rescue, and staff were committed to finding her a home once more.

“They returned her to her original foster home, who immediately brought her to a birthday party at a brewery,” Heather Rende, a volunteer with Safe Hands Rescue, told The Dodo. “She was a hit at that event — everyone commented on her cuteness and friendliness. The brewery is where she met her new family. They couldn’t take their eyes off her.”

While Amelia waited for her second adoption to be finalized, the rescue took her to a puppy yoga class, where participants get to do yoga alongside adorable rescue puppies. Amelia was incredibly excited to be involved, especially after meeting her new family — and her energy that day was anything but zen.

“Amelia loves to say hi to everyone, she doesn’t want anyone to feel left out!” Rende said. “She is a very busy girl and was on the move from the beginning of the first class, checking on everyone and everything.”
While some of the other puppies cuddled with the participants, Amelia had the zoomies pretty much nonstop. She leapt over people as she ran around the room, so excited to be there, and everyone couldn’t stop laughing at her enthusiasm.

“She was a hit, but she wasn’t stopping to cuddle much — she left that to the other puppies,” Rende said. “She had a job to do, and she was the hostess with the [mostest]! They loved watching her, and she provided laughs and many happy faces.”
Amelia did two classes back to back, and only stopped to rest a few times during the second class. She took her job as a bringer of joy very seriously, and now she’s doing that same job in her forever home.
